Negative thinking

Negative thoughts are associated with negative feelings such as anger, sadness, hopelessness loss, bereavement etc.

Usually they occur automatically, seem reasonable and true. The worse we feel, the more likely we are to think negatively and believe these thoughts to be really true, even though they are not reasonable . We cannot escape from occasionally having these negative thoughts. They too are part and parcel of our lives.

They are naturally more persistent and intense, interfering with our daily lives when we feel over stressed, anxious, irritable or have depressive illness.

Our coping mechanisms get overwhelmed by their constant intrusions in our mind.

Help in form of understanding their nature, their impact and how to handle them before they overwhelm us is required.

Don’t get disheartened. Face them

To be continued. .
