A sight after 7 months

It was a pleasant déjà vu moment. A piece of reality coming alive from the past. As I crossed the small side road near my residence I saw the familiar presence of the lemonade seller at the fenced boundary of our park serving a customer. And lo! The park too was alive with joyful young ones playing cricket and football!

I felt a tinge of happiness seeing him back in business and the children where they belonged. How tough life would have been for him like millions of daily wage earners and the kids kept away from playing for their safety?

Similar fountains of joy had sprung earlier on seeing the street side coconut seller one fine morning and at the same spot the night time crowded cart stall of the neighbourhood’s popular pani puri (water pancakes)vendor.

Emptied spaces slowly getting filled with life.
