My Approach
I believe in treating patients as fellow human beings in need of help. A friendly calm atmosphere of empathy and compassion with confidentiality is provided to put the patient at ease.
Attentive listening, understanding their worries and symptoms, reviewing past and ongoing stresses and relevant details of work, family and personal details.
A complete medical review,mental status examination and asking for relevant investigations as may be required is the standard approach.
I give adequate time to my patients for expressing their feelings,worries and symptoms and address them so that they are completely satisfied.
The patient is informed about his diagnosis, lines of treatment with options, information about medications, their possible side effects, likely duration of treatment and required lifestyle changes for overall healthy living.
I follow ethical practices and do not resort to unnecessary investigations or referrals.
The goal is helping the patient to regain his best level of functioning and move ahead in his education, job, personal, family and social life.
