Post world wars the rapid increase in modern technology, transport, communications.Modern hospitals, research programs, advances in genetics, advent of multinational pharmaceutical companies all contributing to better health care and increase in life expectancies.

Understanding Your Medications:

If you are prescribed a medication, be sure that you:


  • Inform your doctor about all medications and vitamin supplements you are already taking.

  • Inform your doctor about any allergies and any adverse reaction you might have had with medicines.

  • Understand how to take the medicine before you start using it and take your medicine as instructed.

  • Be careful. Do not give medicines prescribed to you to others, nor use their medicines. Fatalities can result from unintended use.

  • Do not delay or hesitate to call your doctor if you notice or if you have any problems with your medicine. Consult if you are worried that it might be doing more harm than good.

  • Your doctor will be guide you to adjust the dose or change your prescription to a different one that may work better for you.
